Where Work Meets Home

We are not a volume studio. We are Eduard and Ramona — a husband-and-wife team who design and build homes with the care of people who live this work every day.

Our studio grows out of how we were raised: European households, summers near Michigan lakes, and sourcing trips through France and England that shaped how we think about light, proportion, and heritage materials. French and English cottage traditions inform everything we do — timeless details, warm finishes, and rooms that feel established rather than new.

We raised a family of five in the homes we were improving. That changes how we think about a kitchen layout, where the mud bench goes, and which countertop actually holds up.

Eduard Manea

I am a licensed contractor who cares about the small stuff on site. I started on job sites in high school, spent eleven years running a hardwood flooring company, and now manage every home from demo to final walk-through. I know every shortcut a contractor can take — and why none of them are worth it.

Ramona Manea

I became a designer after leading selections on renovations around metro Detroit, where I grew up. My eye comes from Europe — sourcing trips through France and England, and the Southern character I found in Tennessee. I choose materials for how they relate to everything else in the room, not how they photograph.

Rooted in Cottage Tradition

Some homes are finished. Ours are settled into. We draw on French and English cottage design — heritage materials, timeless proportions, and finishes that look better at ten years than they did at one. Luxury, for us, is a room that feels like it could have been there for generations.
